The Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science recently instituted an outreach program which is designed to increase enrollment for mathematically inclined students who are interested in pursuing a degree in engineering or computer science. Selected students will be able to contact a professional in their field of study and seek assistance with assignments that relate to their prospective major via email. The ultimate goal is to provide an atmosphere that is comfortable and conducive for learning.
School partnering offers:
- The enhancement of relationships between UTD, and selected high schools.
- Free tutorial services to participants.
- An opportunity for students to establish a working relationship with a mentor.
- Expert advice in issues which relate to prospective field of study.
- A comfort zone so that students can become familiar with the UTD Environment.
